Fiberglass Flagpoles of America flagpoles are manufactured using a unique heated clam shell process incorporating more fiberglass than resin when compared to other fiberglass flagpoles. The result is superior strength and a gel coat finish that won’t turn powdery or flake like some other fiberglass poles.

In many ways, fiberglass flagpoles have superior features to aluminum flagpoles from a cost standpoint and they compare favorably on a feature by feature basis.

Other benefits of fiberglass flagpoles include:

·        Finish will not oxidize making it an excellent choice near salt water or in extreme weather conditions.

·        Maintenance free, no need to repaint and can be easily cleaned.

·        Exceptional strength and more flexible than aluminum. Tensile strength exceeds 50,000 psi, as compared to 35,000 psi for aluminum.

·        White gel coat finish is standard. However poles can be made to match any color. Colors are mixed into the pigment composite, therefore scratches will not show.

·        Safe: Fiberglass does not attract or conduct electricity, does not require grounding.

·        Options including yardarms and a unique internal halyard system.

The first option that you need to determine is whether you want the economy of an External Halyard system (halyard and cleat are exposed on the outside of the flagpole) or the security and sleeker look of an Internal Halyard flagpole (the halyard and cleat are inside the flagpole and accessed through a door cut into the flagpole).

The second consideration is whether you want a traditional Ground Sleeve mount or the ability to raise and lower the entire flagpole using the Hinge Base mount. The Ground Sleeve mount is more economical, but the Hinge Base mount makes any repairs or maintenance easier without the need for a bucket truck or climbing a tall ladder.

While the standard finish is a bright white gel coat finish, custom colors are available. A colored gel coat is used producing a long lasting, shinny finish. The colored gel coat is mixed with the resin to produce a composite with the same color throughout the wall thickness.

All the fiberglass flagpoles come complete with all the hardware required: anodized gold ball finial, rotating truck, halyard, cleat, ground sleeve, flash collar, and snap hooks to fly one flag.

Whether you are a marina, located on the water, or just like the nautical look, we have yardarms to meet your needs.  Each yardarm is supplied with end pulleys, halyard, nylon snaps, (&) cleats and all the mounting hardware for a complete installation.
